Gardening with Grammy!

Planting flowers with Grammy! Parker managed to eat all of the dirt in sight, and then had a huge grin on his face :) He LOVES helping. It is so fun to see him "shadow" Grammy and Papa when we go visit. Papa says he's always right in his back pocket!
We hope to spend many weekends at the lake this summer. Parker has already discovered the water. He wanted to jump in last weekend, but Grammy wouldn't let him! He wears his lifejacket whenever he is down by the water. It only took one time with Papa wearing his to get Parker trained. He likes to throw rocks and skip them. He says "big shiner" and "skip it". It's SO cute! There are lots of rocks on the shore to keep him busy this summer.

Mama, Grammy, & Parker

Here we are, posing for a picture on Mother's Day :) We had dinner at our house with Grammy, Papa, Rick, Wendy, Papa Mel, & Grandma Judy. Parker ran around like he owned the place...but what's new?!

I am so lucky to have a beautiful boy! I am thankful to be a mother. I enjoy all of the challenges & rewards that Motherhood allows me. I wouldn't change being a mom for anything. I love my boy Parker!

Nagasi

Parker's favorite item of the summer...SUNGLASSES! Or, as he says "Nagasi". He loves wearing them everywhere we go. I've already had to buy 2 pairs this year becasue me, mom, lost them. We can't go anywhere without them. I love how handsome Parker looks in his shades :)

Snoozing...

We spent the weekend at my parents on the lake. Parker loved riding the 4-wheeler, raking, throwing rocks, and shoveling dirt!

He got a new wheelborrow for his birthday, I'm excited to see all of the things he hauls around and discovers. It is so fun to see him "play" and watch the wheels turn inside his head.

Buddies

This is Parker's buddy Jayden Thomas Stanger. What a HANDSOME lad he is :)

My best friend Amber and her Husband Tommy had us out for supper last night. Parker ate garlic bread and played with Jayden. He was WAY into the aquatic toy that made bubbles and played music. He also liked Copper and Kirby, the 2 beagle puppies. He even got to take a bath there too!

I've already determined that these 2 kids are going to be best friends, just like their mommies - whether they like it or not :)

Parker had a GREAT birthday! The weather cooperated and we were able to be outside to eat tacos, open presents, and have cupcakes. Parker's meal consisted of 3 cupcakes that he smashed into his face and then smiled and said "cheeze". What a ham!

He got some really neat things:

I think the older he gets the more "stuff" he accumulates. My house has officially now been taken over by a toddler!!! (and I love it!)

Hip, Hip, HORRAY....it's Parker's birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I woke Parker up this morning I said "good morning birthday boy" and he said "MORNING MOMMY!"

On our way out the door, Parker insisted on wearing his new striped flip-flops to school. They fell off 3 times before we made it to the car...what a toddler won't do to get what they want! We brought cup cakes to daycare this morning and Parker and his friend Tommy wanted to eat them for breakfast. Both mom and his teachers thought it was funny :)

MIA

I'm back! Since January, I've been on the hunt for the "perfect" job...and I found it :0) Sorry I've been MIA for the last 90-120 days. Parker and I are finally back into a normal routine again. I started at Merrill Corp. last week and absolutely LOVE what I do. Still going through training and learning the ropes, but so far so good!

Parker turns 2 tomorrow, it's crazy that my baby is getting so big. I'm running here and for last minute things. Tonight's stops include: Cub Foods for the 40+ cupcakes I couldn't bring myself to make so I hired the bakery for, Party America for themed baloons, and then MOPS to play and relax :)
