Potty training - SUCCESS!

Yes, my little boy is POTTY TRAINED! And the wonderful thing about this news is that it only took 3 days! I went online and purchased this book. I got ME ready to potty train Parker. Simply stated, it was what made the process go so somoothly.

thus far, the reward system consists of stickers, a Spiderman 4-wheeler (LOVE Target for clearence!) and of course...Spidey underwear. Parker tells me that he "have to keep Spidey dry, right mama?" Yep, gotta love the confidence of an almost 3-year old.

So far, so good. We are now on day 4 and he is doing AWESOME. I just checked in at school with his teacher, Ms. Kris. So far - NO ACCIDENTS TODAY! Go Parker - we're having a party this weekend with Easter to celebrate :)

To Grammy & Papa's We Go + Happy Birthday to Graham

Headed to see Grammy & Papa this weekend + clean the new house + set the clocks ahead.

I told Parker that we were going to 'clean up the mess that the workers made' at the new house - he was ALL over that conversation. Will be sure to bring lots of balls & hockey sticks/golf clubs. He's into things being the 'same' and 'matching' lately too. Need the blue stick with the blue ball. Got it.

Sending out a VERY special Happy Birthday wish to Graham :) I told Parker it was Graham's happy birthday, and this is what he said "Happy Birfday for you my Gwam!". You are special and we *love* you so much! We will have cupcakes with special frosting (compliments of Parker) waiting for you when you get back from FL.

Enjoy the weekend -

Target Modeling Audition

Parker is booked for a modeling audition with Target Corp. on Tuesday morning! The modeling agency that we work with contacted me about this opportunity. "The photos from this casting will be uploaded to Target's Internal Casting Website, the main resource Target uses to cast for ALL of their projects: Signage, Packaging, Circular, Special Projects, etc., not just the Kids Catalogs."

We are going to the Rau + Barber Photography Studio in downtown Minneapolis. The instructions for his wardrobe are: trendy-casual. Hmm...not sure what I should dress him in. Any suggestions? Leave me a post and I'll send you Parker's "official" autograph! ...it is now consisting of 'snakes' and 'circles' when he draws :)

Happy Thursday!

Spidey

Parker is into all things Spiderman lately. We watched Spiderman 3 and he is in love with it. As we are working on potty training, I think the *spidey undies* just might do the trick! So far this week, he's made it 4+ times every day at school being a big boy. So proud of him!

McDonald's

Parker LOVES playing in the tunnels at McDonald's! I told him that we have to go and get his haircut tomorrow. Not sure he was a fan, but when I said that if he was a good boy when he was sitting in the chair and getting his hair trimmed that I would take him to the tunnels, then the haircut was a bit more exciting. So, we're heading to the mall tomorrow. Going to stop at GAP and see if they have any cute things out for this spring/summer. Parker's gift cards aren't burning a hold in my pocket...yet, anyways!

Kels was in charge of watching Parker while we moved (on the coldest day of February!). Funny that she showed up that day in high heels and her dress coat KNOWING that moving wasn't her forte. I knew this. Thats why she was in charge of Parker for the day. Here's some photos of the 2 of them. Notice how LONG his hair is - see what I mean by him needing a haircut.

New House

Parker and I moved the last of everything from our "old" house last night. He told me "new people are going to live in our house, right mommy? Because our new house isn't ready yet. The workers need to fix it". That's right, Parker. I'm fascinated at how he is putting things to gether. And talking, understanding, comprehending, and just "knowing" things about life. It's so rewarding to see!
So, we are in limbo land until April 1st when our townhome will be available. Really looking forward to having a permanent place again.
Parker spent the weekend with Graham, Kels, Bodde, Grammy, & Papa. Here's a few photos (thanks Kewshie!) from the ice fishing and outdoor experience. Enjoy! In the words of Kels "He kept saying each time we went past the woods “Der is bears in dere”…too cute! He’s also really into interrupting haha!! Everytime you’d be talking he’d say “Kewshie!!!!” “Kewshie!!!!” “Kewshie!!!!” “Kewshie!!!!” or “Grammy!!” “Grammy!!” “Grammy!!” “Grammy!!” until you would pay him attention! That little bugger…LOVE HIM!"

Happy Valentine's Day

When I told Parker that he was going to have a 'fun' day at school today with a party he said "a happy birthday for me party, mama?". No, Parker - a VALENTINE'S party. Oh. And then when I told him he would get to play games, eat candy, and have fun he thought that would be cool :)

He got red socks with white hearts on them from Great Grandma Audrey in the mail - wasn't really a fan of putting them 'on' this morning, but thought it was fun to show them off to his friends when we got to school. What a kid.

Ms. Kris (Parker's teacher at school) told me that they send the cards home and let the kids open them = less mess and confusion in the classroom. I'm SURE we will be reading the various cards, playing with the trinkets, and eating the candy tonight at home.

Sending you lots of LOVE today!

Hearts

We did Parker's Valentine's last night for his friends at school. I decided that I was going to let him pick out EACH Valentine individually, as I went down the list. There weren't enough "shark" cards in the box. Did anyone ever think of making them all the same so kid's don't have to decide? Hmm. I think both of us were tested with one another's patience. OH - and they put a sheet of heart stickers in the box to seal the cards...we had extras of those, so towards the end of the list Parker thought it was 'cool' to put lots of them on. I'm not sure if the Finding Nemo Valentine's will be a hit or not? I opted to NOT buy candy this year for the kiddos - found some pencil stamp toppers at the dollar bin at Target. Boy, did Parker think THOSE were neat-o!

We're going to get a Heart-Shaped Pepperoni Pizza from Papa Murphy's tonight or tomorrow. I'll be spending the night *loving* my Valentine :) I can't get enough of Parker!

OH - got an email from Gap this week, and the prize packages are scheduled to arrive on Thursday. What a neat present on Valentine's Day!

I am loving Jack Johnson's new cd: SLEEP THROUGH THE STATIC. Picked it up at Starbuck's yesterday, gotta love a warm cup of coffee on a cold MN afternoon ;)

I'm up to my ears in boxes! I sold my house and close on the 27th of this month. So far, I haven't found a place to live yet. I'm on the hunt for a townhome - want to rent for a good year or so.

Old Spice

Parker LOVES to use Graham's deoterant - started when we were up North at Breezy Point over New Year's. Don't know why he thinks this is so cool, but he does. He asks every time to "put some on like Graham". Cute.

Oh...and he also thinks that Bodde needs to smell good too ;)
