Best Boy

Here's Parker, chilling at the lake! We had a relaxing time this weekend. We went for a boat ride, played golf, baseball, went for a walk, and ate lots of good food! Parker and Bodde (my sister's dog) got along, so that was a good thing too!

My mom asked Parker "who is the best boy?" and he replied "I know" and shrugged his shoulders and lifted his arms in the air. Grammy said "Parker's the best boy!" And now, when we ask him "who is the best boy?" he says "ME BEST BOY!". It's so cute!

Paker woke up Sunday morning counting to 10...and he is getting SO good at it! We laugh because he says "seben" for 7 :) What a ham!

Memorial Weekend here we come!

John and Patti are our wonderful neighbors and freinds on Lake Florida! They have 2 dogs - Trebbi & Gavi, who Parker LOVES to go and visit. Parker also knows where the treats are in the bottom drawer in their kitchen. He really enjoys them, and so do we :) We have so much fun visiting with them and seeing them on the weekends that we go to Grammy & Papas house. I think they are Parker's 2nd set of grandparents, who spoil him and love him up just as much as his own! We are so blessed to have them in our lives, they are a true joy! This weekend we will get to spend time for the long holiday - Memorial Day. I hope it's nice so that Parker can stick his feet in the lake, which reminds me that I need to pack his swim trunks and Pooh swim diapers. He's mastered the art of rock throwing, and has NO fear of the water. I'll have to dig out the floatie that I bought for him this winter on the clearence rack too...good thing I am remembering all of this now, before we leave for the weekend. I'm lucky to have a kid who just "goes with the flow" if I forget things though - my Parker man sure is a good boy ;) I love him to pieces!!!!!

Happy Birthday to ME!

My friend, Melanie, baked me a German Chocolate Cake for my birthday!!! It was SO yummy :) Parker loved the cool whip topping, and all of the gooey carmel!

We ate supper at Burger King so Parker could play in the "tonnols"...he had a blast! I've graduated into "kid" things now for my birthday again, kind of fun.


Parker is going to bake cupcakes with Grammy this weekend, and probably eat 1/2 of them while he's at it. He was really excited when my mom told him on the phone that they were going to bake...he loves it!

Thank you to everyone who sent me Birthday wishes, it was fun to get all of them!

Watch out Wiggles, here we come!

It's official, Parker is going to his first live concert! We will be going to see the Wiggles, LIVE at the Target Center in August ;) Although he doesn't really "know" yet, Parker will be SO excited!!!!! He watched on of the Wiggles movies yesterday afternoon and was so excited - he was singing and dancing in the living room, it was a HOOT! His favorite song is about the "Emu". It is so funny when he talks about the characters...so interesting that he knows all of this at 2!

Mr & Mrs Bebber

My beautiful friend Megan just got engaged! Yay!!!!! Megs & Beb live in Colorado, and the wedding is set for spring of 2008 (tentatively). Parker and I are going to be flying out there for the event and really looking forward to it :)

Gardening with Grammy!

Planting flowers with Grammy! Parker managed to eat all of the dirt in sight, and then had a huge grin on his face :) He LOVES helping. It is so fun to see him "shadow" Grammy and Papa when we go visit. Papa says he's always right in his back pocket!
We hope to spend many weekends at the lake this summer. Parker has already discovered the water. He wanted to jump in last weekend, but Grammy wouldn't let him! He wears his lifejacket whenever he is down by the water. It only took one time with Papa wearing his to get Parker trained. He likes to throw rocks and skip them. He says "big shiner" and "skip it". It's SO cute! There are lots of rocks on the shore to keep him busy this summer.

Mama, Grammy, & Parker

Here we are, posing for a picture on Mother's Day :) We had dinner at our house with Grammy, Papa, Rick, Wendy, Papa Mel, & Grandma Judy. Parker ran around like he owned the place...but what's new?!

I am so lucky to have a beautiful boy! I am thankful to be a mother. I enjoy all of the challenges & rewards that Motherhood allows me. I wouldn't change being a mom for anything. I love my boy Parker!

Nagasi

Parker's favorite item of the summer...SUNGLASSES! Or, as he says "Nagasi". He loves wearing them everywhere we go. I've already had to buy 2 pairs this year becasue me, mom, lost them. We can't go anywhere without them. I love how handsome Parker looks in his shades :)
